This qualification provides skills to select, install, set up, test, fault find, repair and maintain systems and devices for measurement and recording of physical/chemical phenomenon and related process control.

Qualified Instrumentation tradespeople are employed in commercial, industrial and heavy industry sectors and are particularly in demand in the mining, power generation and other natural resource sectors, both locally and nationally.

  • 23 core units
  • A combination of Elective competency standard units to achieve a total weighting of 140 points. Elective Group A up to 60 points and Elective Group B a minimum of 80 points.

Enrolment in this course only for a trainee/apprentice with an approved training contract.
