White Card


Duration: 6 hours face to face training

Statement of Attainment: CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to Work Safely in the construction industry

The National Construction Industry Induction Program (White Card) is designed to provide participants with knowledge of the Occupational Health, Safety and Welfare principles and practices used on Australian Building, Construction and Civil sites.

White Cards will be printed with photographs of cardholders. Training Prospects staff will take photographs of participants on the day of training.

As per Safe Work SA requirements no interpreters are allowed to provide assistance. If LLN is a concern, verbal assessment is allowed, providing that basic OHS forms can be completed.

Program Content

This program will involve training in but not limited to:

  • Protective clothing and equipment and safe use of plant and equipment (responsibilities)
  • Licences and tickets
  • Safety signs
  • Site emergencies and evacuations
  • Duty of care
  • Hazard identification
  • Clean, safe and tidy worksites


Program Outcomes

Upon completion of this program, participants will have the relevant skills required to gain entry and work safely on a construction site in Australia.
